After 10 months, we are excited to finally launch our candle line.

These candles have been a labor of love. From an idea of making our name into a scent, to researching products that are clean and safe that we can stand behind to learning what makes a great candle. Let’s not forget right after I got everything to start the candle making and testing process I got the rona and couldn’t smell for weeks after. It is really hard to make a candle when you can’t smell things!
After so much research my head felt like it was going to explode, and I finally decided on the companies I wanted to work with. Then scent testing began. So many combinations were sniffed and questioned and compared to narrow down which combinations we wanted to actually make into candles. Then we made tester candles with our top combinations. We tried different fragrance to wax ratios and narrowed down our exact recipes. We also tried different vessels based on sizes, look and price. The candle needs to have a good cold throw (how it smells when not burning) to reel you in to taking it home. Then of course it needs to smell good when it is burning so we left them all over the house to compare how strong the hot throw was (the smell when it’s burning). It’s the worst when you smell an amazing candle at a store but when you get it home and burn it, you can’t smell anything! So our little candles had to go through rigorous testing to get to our final candle line launch.
Then, of course, we want them to look gorgeous so many labels were created, tweaked, thrown out, and re-drawn. I am so happy with these gorgeous labels and not to mention the satin ribbon we tie on each candle! We want them to be something special, if you take them home or if you give them to a friend.

I definitely underestimated the process. I wanted to call it quits so many times and I often felt stuck in perfectionism. I tear up thinking about these little babies being out in the world now.
