Summer Baby Shower

I love any excuse to shower friends with love and celebrating a new baby girl is so much fun! I wanted something simple and sweet to represent this sweet mama and her precious girl.

It was summer in Oregon and the backyard is looking green and gorgeous. The hydrangeas are towering with blooms bigger than my head and I scream everytime I see them. I gathered up all the fresh flowers I could find around the farm, sweet peas are on their way out but still so whimsical! Amy brought over some roses and greenery and we made some dreamy arrangements.

Looking to throw a shower on a budget? Pick a party time between meals so you don’t have to provide everyone with a meal. We went with some finger food and angel food cake with fresh fruit.

Since we weren’t serving a lot of food we decided to do a Sweet Tea Bar! We set up a cute station with some black tea and peach mint tea and a pitcher of lemonade to get your drink just right! Add some cute paper straws and mason jar glasses and nothing could be cuter!

We picked up a mix of pink fabrics from Hobby Lobby and my mom sewed a penant banner which turned out so fun! Baskets help contain gifts and cards and can make clean up quick by tossing paper and ribbon in there as they open gifts and we all ooohhh and aaaahhh.

This sweet and simple baby shower was so much fun to put together.

Don’t stress about buying the latest baby shower decor. Or pick one thing, like a balloon arch to purchase and gave us the most bang for our buck. Invest in some decor that you can use over and over like penant banner or a neutral table cloth to give texture whether it’s on a table or hanging as a backdrop. Gather some flowers from your friends or neighbors, or check out the clearence section of the grocery store.

Let’s hope for some more adorable outdoor parties this summer!
