With a lot of paint, elbow grease and long nights the 4th Street Apartment turned out pretty awesome! Check out these before and afters! In a month or so our place will have a ton of natural light again and I can take some updated photos with our furniture but until then, these are still pretty satisfying.

As we are trudging along with the next project and moving in the spring and as I wrap up the 4th Street transformation I find myself being a little sentimental. I think any place you live comes with it’s pros and cons. The place before this was nice but it didn’t feel very private, it was boujee but didn’t feel like home, it felt like a hotel. 4th Street was the best of both worlds, buying and renting at the time. And it has been home for the last 2 1/2 years (the longest we have ever been in one place). As much as I hate the fact that I can’t open my windows, I am going to miss the amount of sunlight that pours into the place and being able to walk to stores and coffee shops nearby. I look forward to feeling the breeze come through our open windows, being able to sit outside with a cup of coffee, and not have the only bathroom be in our bedroom. And I look forward to almost doubling our square footage. We have definitely outgrown 4th street.
4th street has seen us through ups and downs. Alex and I are obviously married but have grown into better friends over the last year or so. It has also been the place we took the boys after their home burned down, the place I watched their new baby sister to help out their grandma. It housed 4 adults, a dog and a cat for a week during the wildfires. A hub for stopping by and strangers accidentally walking in.
Here’s to 4th Street!
